How can we help?

Getting started

Open an account, verify identity and fund your wallet for the first time.

How to open a Coconut Pay account+

Tap Open account, enter your legal name, date of birth and address, then take a photo of your government ID and a quick selfie. Most people are approved in under two minutes.

You must be 18 or older and live in a country we support. If we need anything else we'll ask in-app, we never email surprise document requests.

Verifying your identity (KYC)+

Identity checks are handled by Stripe Identity. Have your government ID and a well-lit space ready, glare on the ID is the #1 cause of retries.

If your check needs manual review, you'll see a status in the portal within one business day.

Funding your wallet+

Add money with a debit card for instant funding, or link a bank account for free ACH transfers that settle in 1-2 business days.

Debit-card top-ups have a $10,000/day cap. Bank transfers follow your bank's limits.

Sending & requesting

P2P transfers, splitting tabs and chasing down what you're owed.

Send money to another Coconut member+

Tap Send, choose a contact or enter a $handle, pick the amount and currency, add an optional note, then confirm with Face ID.

Coconut-to-Coconut sends are instant and free. Sends to a bank account use standard ACH or wire and follow those timelines.

Request or split a bill+

Tap Request, choose one or more contacts, enter the total and pick Split evenly or set custom amounts. Everyone gets a push notification with one-tap pay.

You can cancel or nudge a request from the transaction detail at any time.

Coconut Card

Order, freeze, replace, and add to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Order a Coconut Card+

Everyday members get a free virtual card immediately. To order metal, open the Cards tab, tap Request new card, choose a finish and confirm your shipping address. Metal cards ship in 5-7 business days.

A distinct business finish is reserved for Pro members on Coconut for Business.

Freeze, unfreeze or replace a card+

Tap the card, then Freeze to instantly block new charges. Tap again to unfreeze. Recurring merchant charges resume automatically.

Lost or stolen? Tap Replace card. We cancel the number, ship a new one and preserve your Apple Pay / Google Pay tokens.

Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay+

From the card detail, tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet. You'll confirm with Face ID and be ready to tap-to-pay in seconds.

Travel & FX

Real exchange rates, fee-free withdrawals abroad and travel tips.

Using Coconut Pay abroad+

Spending abroad is billed at the real interbank exchange rate at the moment of the transaction. No hidden markup, no weekend surcharge.

ATM withdrawals abroad are free up to your monthly plan limit, after that a small flat fee applies.

Swap between currency wallets+

Open the wallet you want to swap from, tap Convert, choose the destination currency and amount. The quoted rate is what you'll get, held for 30 seconds while you confirm.

Budgeting & insights

Round-ups, weekly recaps, spending categories and saving goals.

Turn on round-ups+

Round-ups sweep the spare change from every card purchase into a savings wallet you choose. Open Settings, Round-ups, and toggle it on.

Read your weekly recap+

Every Monday we send a plain-English summary of what you spent, saved and earned. Adjust categories or mute merchants directly from the recap.

Security & disputes

Lock your card, dispute a charge, and keep your account safe.

Dispute a charge+

Open the transaction, tap Dispute, and pick a reason. Our team gets back to you within one business day and files with the card network on your behalf.

Secure your account+

Turn on biometric unlock, add a second device for backup, and register a trusted phone number so we can reach you if something looks off.

We will never ask for your PIN, one-time code or full card number by email or phone.

Report an outage or error+

Use the Report an outage or error link at the bottom of any Coconut Pay page. Your report opens a case with our team and emails back-office@coc0nut.com with the subject Error Report: Coconut Pay.

Still stuck? Our team replies in human language, no scripts.
