Accessibility

Built for everyone.

Coconut is committed to digital accessibility. We design and build with the goal that people of all abilities can navigate, understand, and enjoy our products — across shop, social, travel, and everything in between.

Standards we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Conformance is an ongoing process; some areas of the site may not yet meet every criterion, and we treat those as bugs to be fixed.

What we've built in

  • — Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus rings on every interactive element.
  • — Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and accurate ARIA labels.
  • — Sufficient color contrast in both light and dark themes, plus a high-contrast option.
  • — Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
  • — Captions and transcripts for video content where available.
  • — Alternative text on meaningful images.

Personalize your experience

The accessibility widget (bottom-left of every page) lets you adjust text size, switch to a high-contrast or inverted theme, underline links, reduce motion, switch to a more readable font, and enable a larger cursor. Your choices are remembered on this device.

Assistive technology

Coconut is regularly tested with the latest versions of NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack on supported browsers. If you encounter a barrier with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it.

Report an issue

If something on Coconut isn't accessible to you, please contact us with the page URL and a short description. We aim to respond within five business days and to ship a fix as quickly as possible.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never "done." We audit new features before launch, retrain on every design system update, and incorporate feedback from disabled users into our roadmap.
