Why drive the NC 500 when you can fly it?

The UK’s most northerly luxury destination is taking the visitor experience to new heights.

Offering a once-in-a-lifetime aerial view of the world-famous North Coast 500 in the far north of the Scottish Highlands.

The five-star Links House at Royal Dornoch is now elevating guests 5,000 metres above the ground.

With its ‘Sky-to-Shore’ adventure flight experience.

Links House has teamed up with Highland Aviation to launch the new one-hour flight from Dornoch grass airstrip aboard a Piper Cherokee Warrior II plane.

Guests taking to the air will be given the opportunity to see the stunning coastline and North Highland landscapes from above.

These will include breathtaking views of Royal Dornoch Golf Links, Dornoch Firth, and the nearby Dunrobin Castle. Often referred to as the ‘Jewel in the crown of the Highlands’.

Once airborne and heading south it is possible to see Loch Ness, Inverness, spot Fort George, the River Spey and even the Culloden Battlefield.

Head north and its Cape Wrath, The Kyle of Durness, John O’Groats; and the UK’s newest natural World Heritage Site The UNESCO Flow Country.

Unique Way Of Doing The NC 500

When guests come back down to earth, perhaps take a stroll along Dornoch beach.

A few minutes’ walk from the airstrip where the sand and sea showcase the area’s natural seaside beauty.

Guests then complete their ‘Sky-to-Shore’ aviation tour with a ‘fine dining’ experience at Mara, the award-winning restaurant at Links House.

However, after a thrilling flight the  head chef Theo Creton will create a seasonal menu for your delight.
