Qobuz officially launches its Android TV app, bringing its full hi-res and lossless music catalog directly to your home’s biggest screen.

Qobuz has launched on Android TV, with a new app available now on the Google Play Store. The launch brings Qobuz’s full hi-res and lossless music catalog to the biggest screen in your home: your television. The app works across all TVs and devices running Google TV, or older Android TV devices.

While a beta version quietly rolled out last year to let testers try out the big-screen interface, the app is now fully launched and delivers the full Qobuz experience on TV. Users can browse its library of albums, playlists, editorial picks, and their own favorites, along with personalized recommendations and a layout tuned for a bigger screen.

Each track streams in CD-quality or hi-res audio, depending on what your setup supports, and the new Qobuz Connect feature means you don’t even have to swap between remotes. Qobuz Connect went live in March, and like similar options from competitors like Spotify and Tidal, Qobuz’s version lets you stream high-resolution music directly from the app to compatible hi-fi devices—no Bluetooth or third-party apps are needed. You can control playback from your phone or tablet while the music plays through your TV.

“This app embodies our desire to be accessible wherever people listen to music, from headphones to the living room, while preserving what makes Qobuz unique: audio quality and editorial richness,” said Axel Destagnol, Qobuz’s Chief Product Officer.

The launch gives Qobuz purchase in the living room listening space, which has traditionally been dominated by rivals like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal, all of which already have native TV apps.

Founded in 2007, Qobuz is an independently-owned music platform and a pioneer in high-quality sound, standing out as a unique alternative in the streaming market. Qobuz is available in 26 countries across Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and Japan. With over 100 million tracks in lossless quality—CD, hi-res (24-bit/up to 192 kHz), DXD, and DSD—Qobuz offers a rich hi-res catalog on the market.
