Photographer of the Year, Winner: Joy Kachina
The 2025 Natural Landscape Photography Awards have revealed a stunning array of winning images that honor the planet’s untouched beauty.
With over 11,000 submissions from 1,100 photographers across 64 countries, the competition upheld a strict no-editing policy, ensuring all entries were genuine in-camera captures. Australian photographer Joy Kachina earned the title of Photographer of the Year for her evocative portrayals of Tasmania’s misty forests, praised for their emotional depth and grandeur. Other standout winners include Margrit Schwarz for her abstract Grand Canyon shot, Luis Vilariño in the Grand Landscape category, and David Shaw for Intimate Landscape. Together, these photographs span icy terrains, lush tropics, and arid deserts, reminding us that nature’s raw essence is often the most powerful muse.
