50 Cent Reacts To Nicki Minaj & Cardi B’s Vicious Spat

50 Cent may have been involved in a number of hip-hop’s most notorious feuds, but surprisingly he’s attempting to play peacemaker between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

The long-simmering rivalry between the two female rap stars reignited earlier this week following the release of Cardi’s new album Am I the Drama?, resulting in a heated spat on social media.

Reacting to the messy back-and-forth between his fellow New Yorkers, 50 wrote on Instagram on Thursday (October 2): “I hope the girls stop fighting before things escalate. I read some of the shit they are saying to each other and this is not gonna end well.”

One of Fif’s followers joked in the comments section: “If 50 is the voice reason, you know it’s dun got outta hand [laughing face emoji].”

Nicki Minaj fired the first shots on Monday (September 29) when appeared to mock the discounted price of Cardi B’s Am I the Drama? and dismissively referred to her as “Barney B,” even posting an edited photo of the Bronx rapper as the purple dinosaur.

She also mocked Cardi’s “A-B-C-D-E-F-G” rhyme scheme from “Magnet,” tweeting: “Falling off the charts wit a big belly. RUNNING TRAINS, barefoot, still smellyyyy. Still. you. could. not. outsell. meeeeee.”

Cardi hit back by calling Nicki “Cocaine Barbie” and jabbed her for selling less than her contemporaries such as Drake, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

From there, the back-and-forth turned increasingly vicious and personal, with both women attacking each other’s families, children, pregnancies, parenting skills and alleged drug use.

Things eventually cooled down by Wednesday (October 1), with Cardi penning a lengthy (and ostensibly sincere) message to Nicki urging her to seek therapy to heal from her childhood trauma and curb her toxic behavior.

Ice Spice and Latto even became embroiled in the spat when Cardi B was heard shading her “Put It On Da Floor Again” collaborator in a leaked phone call with Ice’s manager, James Rosemond Jr., allegedly from last summer.

“I’ma show y’all, I’m not Latto,” Cardi allegedly warned in the audio. “I’ma beat [Ice Spice] the fuck up. I’ma knock her the fuck out. All y’all. I’ma get Riot [USA] beat up by my n-ggas. Y’all gonna see what the fuck is up. Y’all think I’m fucking pussy-ass Latto?”

Ice Spice seemingly responded by previewing a new song on social media containing some choice words for an unnamed rival.

“She might talk shit on the ‘gram, but she won’t talk shit to my face / Poser, she hear my song and copy everything I say / Like, what the fuck? These bitches dirt / Just be yourself, this shit could work,” the “Munch” hitmaker spits on the track, which is seemingly titled “Pretty Privilege.”
