Spark 2026: The creative industries converge in Barcelona

Barcelona in February isn’t just about the weather (though that helps). This year, it’s about Spark 2026; the new creative showcase at Integrated Systems Europe that’s bringing together everyone from game designers to Netflix producers, from virtual production wizards to the minds behind Tomorrowland. And you can register for free with the special code SparkCreativeBoom.

So what’s in store? Running from 3-6 February at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, Spark is less exhibition, more creative collision. Think conversations that matter, tech you can touch, and ideas that’ll follow you home.

Oh, and forget the usual conference lineup. Spark’s speaker roster reads like a who’s who of people actually making things happen right now.

Victor Martí, director and head of production at Netflix Spain & Portugal, is talking about the global future of storytelling. Alex Boateng, co-president of 0207 Def Jam, is unpacking how cultural ecosystems fuel creativity beyond traditional boundaries. Jordan Schwarzenberger, CEO and founder of Arcade, is diving into how creators are building businesses that actually sustain them.

There’s technical brilliance, too, from Rowan Pitts from MARS Volume and Bild Studios on virtual production, Trevor Burk from Visual Noise Creative, Nick Troop from POSSIBLE and Will Saunders from CoSTAR National Lab, plus voices from Catalunya Media City and the Catalan AV Cluster. They’ll be tackling everything from worldbuilding and AI-driven creativity to the future of media cities.

Step inside the experience

By the way, this isn’t a look-don’t-touch situation. Spark wants you in the middle of it.
Samsung is showcasing its IVC Series Virtual Production LED tech, the kind that is transforming how film, broadcast, XR, and live events actually get made. Next door, Mo-Sys is running live demos of MoStudio on a virtual production stage, so you can see real-time, broadcast-quality content creation in action.

3Cat is bringing Catalan folklore to life with Manairons, an interactive, gesture-based experience inspired by their new video game. And Lab of Tomorrow, the innovation arm of Tomorrowland, is installing Floating Sky, a sensory feast of sound, light, and imagery that’ll remind you why you got into this industry in the first place.

Why this matters

Ultimately, Spark 2026 exists because the lines between gaming, broadcast, design and live events are blurring fast. The best ideas don’t live in silos anymore, and neither should you.

“Spark is where creativity and technology converge in real time,” says Mike Blackman, managing director of Integrated Systems Events. “The partners and speakers involved are actively shaping the experiences that will inspire the next generation of creators.”

He’s not wrong. This isn’t just about fun in the sun. It’s also about walking away with ideas that actually change your next project.
