The Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado has set several attendance records for 2025—with over 1.75 million fans attending 236 events this year.
Pollstar reports that the popular music venue west of Denver is also the best-attended amphitheatre in the United States. It also earned the second-highest attended music venue in the US, only second behind the iconic Madison Square Garden venue in New York.
“It’s thanks to Red Rocks fans that the venue continues to post these fun statistics,” red Rocks Venue Director Tad Bowman said in a statement to CBS on Monday. “For only operating part of the year and with a smaller capacity, the Red Rocks crew, our promoting partners and vendors all work pretty hard to get these results.”
Of the 1.75 million paid visits reported, about 1.72 million of them were for concerts—making Red Rocks the fourth most-attended music venue in the world. That stat lands the venue in a neck-and-neck tie with the Las Vegas Sphere. It was only surpassed by the O2 Arena in London (2.5 million fans), MSG (1.8 million fans) and the Moviestar Arena (1.8 million fans) in Madrid.
Those impressive attendance numbers are even more spanking when you take into account that the Red Rocks amphitheatre only has a capacity of 9,525. In addition to those paid concert attendees, Red Rocks officials reveal that around 1.1 million people have attended free events or visit the park to hike, enjoy the views, or visit the gift shop and museum. The venue is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver and will celebrate its 85th year of operation next year.
Red Rocks hosted 204 concerts, including 19 Red Rocks Hall of Fame inductee shows, 15 fitness events, nine graduations, and five movie nights as part of its Film on the Rocks series. Red Rocks officials also highlighted the most popular food items served at the venue including serving up 108,900 slices of Anthony’s Pizza, 57,400 sides of tater tots from Birdcall, 55,300 bags of City Pop popcorn, 54,200 Vienna Beef hot dogs, and 35,800 orders of chicken tenders from Birdcall.
Conservation efforts were also crowed about, with park officials confirming a 55% waste reduction rate through various green initiatives. That includes 675.64 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent eliminated, 29.66 tons of glass recycled, 14.54 tons of organic material composted, and a 25% decrease in electricity consumption compared to the previous five years.
