EA Sports FC 26 hands football back to the fans with chaotic, cinematic new trailer from Uncommon

EA Sports and Uncommon have dropped a spectacular new launch film for FC 26, and it’s causing a lot of excitement worldwide. The two-and-a-half-minute spot is a fever dream of football, fandom, and pure chaos.

Titled The Club Is Yours, the long-form trailer stars a line-up that’s as star-studded as it gets: Jude Bellingham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Virgil van Dijk, Lewis Hamilton, and Alyssa Thompson, alongside surprise cameos from Oliver Kahn, Toni Kroos, and Cole Palmer. It’s like football’s own Avengers assembled, and then unleashed.

Rather than the usual glossy montage, the trailer turns fan feedback into full-blown spectacle. EA and Uncommon trawled through thousands of community ideas, from clever gameplay tweaks to completely unhinged suggestions, and brought them to life.

So we see polar bears charging across the pitch, a 45-foot goal for Van Dijk, Bellingham’s strike hit by lightning, a gigantic Oliver Kahn smashing through a wall, and Zlatan scoring from outside the stadium. It’s wild, funny, and surprisingly moving… a nod to the imagination that’s always fuelled this popular franchise.

Director Gary Freedman (the Cannes-winning filmmaker behind Paddington Meets the Queen) steers the mayhem with cinematic swagger, backed by Framestore’s VFX magic, editing by Work Editors, and sound by 750. The result blurs the line between developer and player, imagination and game engine.

The film marks the start of EA Sports FC 26’s biggest campaign yet. More than 50 short-form films are rolling out across social and TV, with stars including Alex Morgan, Jamal Musiala, Endrick, Manuel Neuer, Skepta, and Angry Ginge.

It’s all built around a simple but powerful truth: fans don’t just play the game; they shape it.

“FC 26 is a celebration of our community,” said Charlie Villiers, senior director of marketing at EA Sports FC. “This year we listened deeply, challenged the status quo and backed up our words with action. The Club Is Yours allowed us to capture the power of the community and create a platform that connects our fans, their creativity and the energy that fuels this game.”

Nils Leonard, co-founder of Uncommon, added: “More than just a trailer, this film is a tribute to football culture – spanning the artistry of global icons, the dreams of the next generation and the roar of the stadium.”

Earlier teasers revealed Bellingham and Musiala as FC 26’s new cover stars, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic fronting the Ultimate Edition, recreating a childhood photo of him gazing at his hero Ronaldo. Fans even inspired a special in-game mode where you can field an entire team of Zlatans (because of course they did).

This sense of play carries through the entire campaign. What if every fan idea came true? The Club Is Yours dares to find out – and the result is total, beautiful anarchy.

Beyond the film, FC 26 introduces one of the most community-driven gameplay experiences yet, with new features born directly from fan feedback. Through the FC Feedback Hub, players can share ideas, report issues, and shape future updates, turning a once-passive audience into active collaborators.

EA Sports calls it “a mission to hand football back to the fans”. And that’s exactly how this campaign feels. Across broadcast, social, and OOH, FC 26 shows up as a tribute to everyone who loves, critiques, and dreams about the beautiful game.
